Today, I'm continuing my week of layouts about my childhood, this time with a photo of moi at age 2. (I always think of Miss Piggy when I say moi ... do you?) Anyway, this is one of my fave pics of myself of all time, so I felt a little pressure to do it justice. I started with a mix of October Afternoon and Basic Grey patterned papers. OA fits the vintage vibe and the BG colors mixed well with them. I used colors that I might not ordinarily choose, but they felt right for this project.
Again, this layout is journal heavy. I had a lot to say and needed the space in which to say it. I guess I could've typed the journaling to make it more compact, but handwriting is really how I roll.
The title on this layout is one of my fave things about it. I was playing around with a few titles, saying them aloud at a crop I was at with Tracie. This layout seemed to feel the most 'right.'
I used a PL card and a set of OA letter stickers and Jillibean Soup letter stickers to form the title. Then, I popped it up a bit from the page for impact. Finally, I added a dress embellishment because I thought I needed a little something there and because it plays into part of the story that I told in my journaling.
And here's the finished layout.
What childhood stories do you most want to tell? What stories have you shared thus far?
